Exterior Sign Faces – Polycarb

These pictures represent some of the sign face updates we have completed. This type of project is considered “sign maintenance” by every ordinance I’ve seen written. Which means that so long as the cabinet remains you can change out the sign face and lighting without the need for a new permit. Most of the time when we change out polycarb faces we typically would also convert the fluorescent lighting to more efficient LED technology at the same time.

iCafe – Channel Letters

Worked with the iCafe ownership and the City of Carmel planning department to secure signage permit for exterior channel letters. Also created this logo that was face mounted to half inch acrylic then mounted on an interior accent wall.

Howards Lawn & Garden

Worked with Howard to and the graphics staff at Toro to design and output new polycarb panels.

Replaced the fluorescent lamps and ballasts with a more efficient and brighter LED system.

We had to raise the cabinet a few feet to make room for the electronic message board. The electronic message board is capable of 9″ tall letters and some basic graphics. By utilizing wireless technology the staff are able to design the message on a computer in the office and easily upload the message from their desktop.

History Made Here

This project was designed by CODO Design of Indianapolis, IN. Here are a few shots from their design concept portfolio.

This is Codo’s design for the entrance.

This is how the entrance used to look.

This is how it looks now. The floor graphics utilize a non-skid laminate to ensure good footing even with wet floors.

Main floor concept, a time line of events going back hundreds of years.  A few photo’s of how it used to look.

We designed a frame and panel system that is seemless and sleek.

We also installed an Epson projection system with a Brightsign player which enables the staff to communicate with patrons about items in the museum, upcoming events, or whatever their needs may be. The Brightsign player can be remotely programmed and updated.

Stairway is also transformed into an information delivery system. Maintaining the red brick theme into the first floor museum.

1st Floor Design Concept, A continuation of the timeline but a little more visually focused on the past 100 years or so. Instead of the frame and panel we used a cable system from floor to ceiling which enabled us to hang more photo and informational signage. There are also 3 large triangles in the center aisle. In addition to graphics panels each triangle has a touchscreen display and a directional speaker that enables the user to select what they want to learn about and hear as well as see the information.

Here are some ‘Before’ photos.

Cable wall with multiple photos and a timeline for reference.

A Triangle with full panel graphic

Cable wall with timeline and photos on the left, Triangular displays with interactive video & audio components. And artifact display cases that include the red brick theme to tie it all together.

Coffee Junkiez

Coffee Junkiez converted this bank to a drive thru coffee/pizza establishment.

The primary sign is nearly 20′ wide by 4′ tall and contains backlit logos and a large 10mm Electronic Variable Message Center. This medium can display text and graphics that communicate dynamically with the target audience.

We upgraded the ground sign with new polycarb panels and an LED lighting upgrade.

We had to get a variance to install the 20′ wide wall sign. It is comprised of a logo panels on each end with a 10’x4′, 10mm EVMC sandwiched in between.  10mm reprents the space between LED diodes, or pixels. The lower the number the better the graphics resolution.

We also installed two awnings on the front to help dress up the building.

In the interior we wrapped the counter in adhesive vinyl printed to replicate coffee beans and a wood look fascia where the logo appears “burned in”.
