November 6 is officially the greatest day of the year because as Daylight Saving Time ends, we actually gain an hour — and who doesn’t need more time? Yes, the days are getting shorter and you’re probably waking up in darkness (and making your commute in it as well) — but we gain an hour of sleep on Saturday night as Daylight Saving Time (DST) ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6 and Standard Time begins…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

When do we change our clocks?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Most of the\u00a0United States<\/strong> begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 a.m. on the second\u00a0Sunday in March and reverts to standard time on the first Sunday in November. In the U.S., each time zone switches at a different time.<\/p>\n

In the\u00a0European Union<\/strong>, Summer Time begins and ends at 1:00 a.m. Universal Time (Greenwich Mean Time). It begins the last Sunday in March and ends the last Sunday in October. In the EU, all time zones change at the same moment.<\/p>\n
